24 Hour Dog Boarding in Trivandrum — Real Overnight Care, Not a Locked Cage

Most Trivandrum 'overnight boarding' means your dog spends 12 hours alone in a closed kennel. Neolokam has on-site overnight staff, secured shaded sleeping zones, and a structured night routine. The 24-hour cycle is built around dog welfare — not just minimum supervision.

What 24-Hour Care Should Actually Mean

Many Trivandrum boardings advertise '24-hour' but no one is actively present overnight. Here is the difference at Neolokam.

Live-in caretaker on the property

Our caretaker lives on the farm. There is no time of day or night when no human is present. This is the single biggest difference from kennels that lock up at 7 PM and reopen at 7 AM.

Structured evening wind-down

Final group activity ends by 7 PM. Quiet enrichment, last meal, settle routine. Lights dim by 9 PM. No chaotic mixing of arousal-states going into the night.

Group composition matched for sleep

Some dogs settle better alone, some in pairs, some in small groups. We adjust based on observed sleep behaviour during trial — never one-size-fits-all.

Two welfare checks during the night

Around 11 PM and 3 AM. Brief, low-impact checks — caretaker walks the rest areas, notes any restlessness, water levels, vocalisation.

Climate-managed sleeping zones

Covered shaded structures with airflow. Cool-floor surface, raised beds available, blanket if your dog uses one at home.

Emergency vet on-call protocol

Named partner vet with confirmed availability for 24-hour emergencies. Transport plan documented before any boarding stay starts.

Morning routine begins 5:30 AM

Toilet break, water refresh, light walk before heat builds. Breakfast prepared individually. By 9 AM you have a morning update with photo.

No night-time owner anxiety

If your dog is doing well, you sleep. If something needs your attention, we WhatsApp. We do not call at 2 AM unless there is a genuine reason.

How Booking 24-Hour Care Works

visibility
01

Trial Visit (Mandatory)

Bring your dog 6–9 AM. We assess social style, sleep behaviour, separation tolerance. We honestly tell you if 24-hour boarding is the right fit or daycare is better.

02

First Stay (1–2 Nights)

We strongly recommend a short test stay before any extended booking. This proves the routine works for your dog — and reveals anything that needs adjustment.

Extended Booking

Once the test stay is successful, you can book any number of nights. Daily updates throughout. Pickup window 6–9 AM on departure day.

24 Hour Boarding FAQ

Will my dog be left alone overnight?

Never alone — but they are in their own rest zone with no humans actively interacting with them between roughly 9 PM and 5:30 AM (with two welfare checks during that window). This matches a normal home sleep routine. Dogs who are accustomed to sleeping in the family bedroom will adjust over a few nights — the trial stay confirms how your specific dog handles it.

Can you accommodate dogs with separation anxiety overnight?

Sometimes — depends on severity. Mild to moderate separation distress usually settles after the first 1–2 nights, especially when the dog is in a calm group setting on the farm. Severe separation anxiety often does not — and we will tell you honestly after the trial visit. For severe cases we recommend daycare instead, or a graded boarding programme that builds tolerance over multiple short stays.

What's your protocol if my dog gets sick at 2 AM?

Caretaker assesses, calls our partner vet for triage, and coordinates emergency transport if needed. Owner is contacted immediately by call, not just WhatsApp. We have a documented protocol that includes the partner vet's after-hours number, transport vehicle access, and decision tree for urgent vs. wait-till-morning calls. This protocol is shared with you on first booking.

Trial visits 6:00 AM – 9:00 AM daily. The trial alone is the strongest predictor of how a 24-hour stay will go.
