Dog Training Near Nemom — 8 km to Neolokam Farm
Nemom is the closest Trivandrum hub to Neolokam — 8 km via the Kovalam Bypass. That short drive turns once-a-week training from a chore into a habit. Behaviour assessments, puppy socialisation classes, weekend obedience — all run on 1.5 acres of open farmland where dogs actually have room to learn.
Training Programmes Run from the Nemom-Adjacent Farm
Programme structure is built around what Nemom-area dogs actually need — not a one-size obedience template.
Behaviour Assessment (First)
Mandatory 45–60 min on-farm assessment. We map energy level, social tolerance, food drive and reactivity triggers, then recommend a programme honestly.
Puppy Class (10 wks – 6 months)
Socialisation, leash intro, name response, sit/stay, bite inhibition. Critical window training that prevents adolescent reactivity later.
Basic Obedience (Adult Dogs)
Sit, down, stay, recall, leash manners, polite greeting. Run as a 6–8 session package, ideally weekly. Most adult Nemom dogs are graduates of this track.
Reactivity & Behaviour Rehab
For dogs that bark, lunge or fixate on triggers. Slower-paced 1-on-1 work. We do NOT use aversive tools — only counter-conditioning and threshold management.
Weekend Group Class
Saturday & Sunday 6:30–10:00 AM. Multi-dog group format on the farm — ideal for socialisation and real-world distractions.
Train-and-Board Combo
When you travel, your dog boards on the farm and joins daily training sessions. You return to a noticeably better-mannered dog.
Why "Closest Hub" Actually Matters for Training
Real behaviour change requires consistency. Most plans fail because the drive feels too long after the third week. Nemom solves this.
The Kovalam Bypass route
From Nemom junction, the Kovalam Bypass connector pulls you straight onto the road to Malayinkil. Pappanamcode and Karamana residents merge in via the same corridor. Total: 8 km, 12–15 minutes off-peak. Even with a hyper puppy in the car, this is doable weekly.
When training is 8 km away — not 25 km — owners actually finish their programme. That is why Nemom's behaviour-rehab graduation rate, in our records, is consistently the highest of any Trivandrum suburb.

FAQ — Nemom & Pappanamcode Dog Owners
How close is Neolokam's training farm to Nemom?
8 km via the Kovalam Bypass and Malayinkil road — typically 12–15 minutes from Nemom junction. Nemom is the closest residential hub to the Neolokam farm in the entire Trivandrum district, which makes weekly training very practical for Nemom families.
What is a behaviour assessment and why does training start with one?
A behaviour assessment is a 45–60 minute on-farm session where our trainers observe how your dog responds to handlers, other dogs, leashes, food, and space. Based on the assessment we recommend the right programme — basic obedience, reactivity rehab, puppy class, or one-on-one. Training without an assessment is guesswork.
Do you do puppy training for Nemom families with a 3–4 month old pup?
Yes. Early puppy classes are one of our highest-demand programmes from the Nemom-Pappanamcode area. Sessions cover socialisation, leash introduction, name response, basic commands and bite inhibition. Starting before 16 weeks gives the best long-term outcomes.
Are weekend training slots available for working Nemom parents?
Yes. Saturday and Sunday morning slots run between 6:30 AM and 10:00 AM at the Malayinkil farm. These are deliberately scheduled for working couples and parents who can't manage weekday sessions. Bookings open one week in advance via WhatsApp.
Is the training force-free / positive reinforcement only?
Yes. Neolokam follows force-free training methods only — no shock collars, prong collars or punishment-based techniques. We use food rewards, marker training, structured shaping and environmental management. This is non-negotiable.
