Pet grooming in Kowdiar, Vellayambalam and Sasthamangalam, at your door

Kowdiar and the streets around it, from Kowdiar Square and Kuravankonam to Vellayambalam and Sasthamangalam, are a mix of apartment blocks and older independent houses on quiet residential lanes. Many dogs here are small or medium indoor breeds: Shih Tzus, Lhasa Apsos, Pomeranians, Cocker Spaniels, Beagles and Golden Retrievers that live on tiled floors and sleep on the sofa.

Those coats need regular work, and the dogs often dislike car rides through Vellayambalam traffic. A doorstep groom means your dog stays in its own home, the groomers do the work, and you can carry on with your day. We groom in flats and in houses; what matters is the setup, not the size of the home.

Most Kowdiar flats have a balcony, a utility area or a bathroom that works well for a groom. Before the groomers arrive, have these ready:

• Water the groomers can reach easily, such as a bathroom or utility tap.
• One bucket.
• A raised, non-slip surface to work on, for example a sturdy table with a rubber mat, or a bench on the balcony.
• A word with your security desk, so the groomers are not held at the gate.

Two groomers work together, which helps with small dogs that wriggle and with dogs that are anxious about nails or the dryer. For heavy matting, which is common in Shih Tzus and Lhasas kept in long coats, a full shave may be the kindest option; that is ₹2,000 plus GST.

Standalone grooming is done only at the customer's home, never at the Neolokam farm. Skin infections and parasites can spread between dogs at a shared wash area, and keeping grooming at home protects your dog and the dogs boarding with us.

If your dog has a skin problem, tell the team before booking. A contagious skin condition needs vet clearance first, and a medicated bath for skin issues costs ₹2,200 plus GST. If your dog has ticks, give a vet-recommended tick treatment before the groom.

Kowdiar, Vellayambalam and Sasthamangalam are on the pickup and drop-off list for confirmed boarding and daycare at the farm in Kollodu, via Malayinkil, east of the city towards Kattakada. Many central-city families travel for work or to see family abroad, and the two services fit together:

• If your dog is boarding, you do not need a separate visit. Dogs already boarding are groomed during their stay, so ask for a groom before drop-off back home.
• If your dog is staying home, book a doorstep groom about once a month, adjusted to your dog's skin, coat and vet advice.
• Ask about boarding pickup from your flat or house when you book the stay. The team confirms the route, timing and any charge.

Besides Kowdiar, Vellayambalam, Sasthamangalam and Kuravankonam, families nearby often ask about Nanthancode, Ambalamukku, Jawahar Nagar and Pattom. Send your area and the nearest landmark on WhatsApp with your dog's breed and coat and a preferred date. The team checks each address before confirming a slot.

There is no published price for a bath only, nails only or a spa-only visit. The published price is the complete groom: nail cutting, ear cleaning, brushing and combing, shampoo bath, hygiene and paw-pad trimming, scissor shaping of head, belly and tail, and a blow-dry. If you want just one part, ask on WhatsApp.
