Pet grooming in Nemom: a complete dog groom at your home

Nemom sits on the highway south of the city, between Pappanamcode and Pravachambalam, with Vellayani, Pallichal and Kalliyoor close by. A lot of families here live in independent houses with a courtyard, a sit-out or a back verandah, and many keep a dog that spends part of the day outside. That suits a doorstep groom well, because the groomers need a raised, non-slip spot near water rather than a tiled bathroom.

Pet grooming in Nemom usually means one of two things: a regular tidy-up for a Shih Tzu, Pomeranian or Lhasa kept indoors, or a proper clean-up for a Labrador, German Shepherd or Indie who has been outside through the rains. We do both. You do not need to put your dog in an autorickshaw or a car, and you do not wait in a shop while other dogs bark around you.

Standalone grooming at Neolokam happens only at the customer's home, never at the farm. Skin infections and parasites pass easily between dogs sharing a wash area, and keeping grooming at home cuts that risk for your dog and for the dogs boarding with us.

At home your dog also stays among familiar smells and sounds, which helps nervous dogs and older dogs in particular. Two groomers work together, so one can steady your dog while the other works on nails, ears or the face.

Before the groomers arrive, please have these ready:

• A tap or tank outlet the groomers can reach, ideally near the sit-out, courtyard or utility area.
• One bucket.
• A raised, non-slip area to work on, such as a low wall, a sturdy table with a mat, or a step.
• Your dog fed lightly and walked beforehand, so it is not restless.

If your dog has ticks, which is common in compounds with grass and hedges, give a vet-recommended tick treatment before the groom. If there is any skin problem, tell the team before booking; a contagious condition needs vet clearance first. Very matted coats sometimes need a full shave, which is often the kindest option for the dog.

Nemom is also on the pickup and drop-off route for confirmed boarding and daycare at the farm in Kollodu, via Malayinkil, east of the city towards Kattakada. If your dog is going to board with us, you do not need a separate doorstep visit: dogs already boarding are groomed during their stay, so your dog can come home clean.

A simple plan many families follow:

• Book the boarding dates and ask for pickup from your Nemom address.
• Ask the team on WhatsApp to add a groom near the end of the stay.
• Between stays, book a doorstep groom at home roughly once a month, adjusted to your dog's skin and coat and your vet's advice.

The team confirms the pickup route, timing and any charge for each booking.

Families around Nemom often search under the name of their own junction. If you live in Pappanamcode, Pravachambalam, Vellayani, Pallichal, Kalliyoor, Karamana or towards Balaramapuram, send your area and landmark on WhatsApp and the team will tell you whether it is covered and which day works. We never assume an address is covered until the team has confirmed it.

There is no published price for a bath only, nails only or a spa-only visit. The published price is the complete groom. If you only want one part done, ask on WhatsApp and the team will tell you what is possible.
